Undead Characters: The Undead

Undead is a collective name for fictional, mythological, or legendary beings that are deceased and yet behave as if alive. Undead may be incorporeal, such as ghosts, or corporeal, such as vampires and zombies. Undead are featured in the legends of most cultures and in many works of fantasy and horror fiction.

Bram Stoker considered the term "The Un-Dead" for the original title for his novel Dracula (1897),[1] and its use in the novel is mostly responsible for the modern sense of the word. The word does appear in English before Stoker but with the more literal sense of "alive" or "not dead", for which citations can be found in the Oxford English Dictionary. Stoker's use of the term refers only to vampires, and the extension to other types of supernatural beings arose later. Most commonly, it is now taken to refer to supernatural beings which had at one time been alive and continue to display some aspects of life after death, but the usage is highly variable.

The undead on 2657 are former humans and humanoid creatues (with the sole exception of Vampires); and are best characterized by glowing green eyes radiating from a pale-almost white version of their original eye color. They express no emotion or sense of true awareness. They can be found decomposing or almost pristine-in the case of a "pristine undead", another characteristic is a pale steel-blue tint expressed to their skin tone. They eat the flesh of the living and when one is bitten by the Undead six times-they too become part of the 'undead'.
They feel no pain, and the sure fire way of defeating them easily is a direct lethal blow to the skull or destruction of the brain. Decapitating them will not mean your safe as they will still try to bite you.
Pristeen undead or freshly undead still bleed-and it is possible to kill one like a human.
Some Undead will be able to use weapons to an extent-though not as effectively as they would have been if they were not undead.

Strangely-armor is not a problem for some undead to break, so if your survivor has armor dont guarantee you'll be always safe from six bites to your flesh...if you are to become an Undead, you must post your character here and play at least three days as an undead (paragraphs, and you must post three days- NOT wait three days).

If your character dies in the form of bleeding out, hunger, other diseases, or by seemingly natural causes when not present in a Stronghold like Ithteca-your character will become a "pristeen" Undead and are forced to post for three days like if you were bitten.

At the end of three days you were forced to post-and you wish to be human again; DEATH will come to you and kill you-and you will instantly respawn in Ithteca as a human again, suffering from fever and nightmares-a person will state they found you laying dilarious on a trail and took you in.

If your survivor character was bitten but then killed by any other means excluding a death from an Undead-you will respawn in the Health Clinic in Ithteca-but you will still carry the number of bites you had before you died. This means, you cannot simply "clean your slate" of bites by killing yourself after you've been bitten by the Undead. You will carry the number of bites till:

Weapons Equiped: Rachel will sometimes be equipped with a PMG Sub Machine Gun, an Azula Moon Base small caliber automatic handgun-much like this:


An Uzi automatic handgun that has been used by most private military and security forces. One such would be the Azula Moon Base. The weapon fires a magazine of 45 rounds of 9x19mm ammunition. Easy to use, and reliable. Can be fired like a rifle or in one hand like a pistol.

Rachel has enough muscle memory to fire a weapon when threatened, so stay calm when you approach her and she's packing heat. If she drops this weapon, you may keep it forever if you like (just not Rachel's handgun; sorry!)

+Azula Moon Base Uniform: Blue uniform jacket that exposes clevage; blue uniform mini-skirt; belts and a large hip holster to hold her Huntington Handgun, a red arm badge on her left arm; nylon stockings, leather shoes, panties and strapless bra.

Story:
Born in mid 2639, Rachel was brought up in the prestigious Renston Household. Her father died that year, so she never got a chance to meet him. She was raised like a lady, and at age 10 she became the Countess of Breland City's Mansion District. She would later rename it the 'Renston Estate'; this includes the Tenik Mansion her father died in-and that mansion is her currently earth placed residence of choice when she visits Galiavan now days. She joined the ADN Officer Corp in 2654, quickly rising to the seat of Chief of Sectioned Security in the same year-a record still held by her alone. Rachel was sent into space to watch over the Azula Moon Base as it's Section Chief-and today it is where she is most easily found.
She is a very scientific person; would have made a lovely scientist if not for her anger prone habits which lead to the death of anything she may or may not be studying-but she always does her best to try and hold back every now and then :^_^\\\':

How she was infected: Is rather a big mistery. She apparently just wonders around like a pristine undead; ambling and searching for nothing. She is still very beautiful, and others may mistake her for a normal human. If there was a cure-she may still have a chance of returning to her human state...possibly?
